 Richard Eidson
is the owner of Innovative Spa Technologies, an equipment design
company dedicated to creating cost effective spa equipment that
offers innovative solutions to the equipment needs of today’s
spas. Richard is a co-inventor of the Steamy Wonder™ Steam
Canopy that is being manufactured by Natural Health Technologies
and is also played a major role in the development of the Mermaid
Hydrotherapy Massage Table being manufactured by Golden Ratio
Woodworks. Richard has designed the Integrated Spa System, which
creates a massage table/wet-table combination, integrates steam
in the form of the Steamy Wonder Steam Canopy and also includes
a vichy shower inside the steam canopy. The special engineering
design of this system allows it to be used in normal treatment
rooms without the need for a wet-room. Richard also has a financial
management background and has developed, in conjunction with Nancy
Griffin of SpaTrade.com, a financial management program to allow
individuals planning to open a spa or spa owner planning to expand
a spa, financial tools to make accurate projections based on certain
levels of fixed costs, variable costs and various treatment menu
mixes.
Richard has also had the opportunity to travel extensively around the world, observing different spa and natural health traditions in India, Europe, Greece, Turkey, Philippines, Thailand, Bali, Singapore as well as many natural healing and hot springs areas in the USA and Canada.
